HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER The Housekeeping Manager candidate will manage the overall daily operation of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all departmental standards, policies, and procedures are consistently being adhered to through the Supervisors on a daily basis. This position will be called on to resolve all operational and personnel issues in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. The ideal candidate will be friendly and cheerful and possess good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is preferred. The candidate must be able to interact successfully with a variety individuals and departments and be able to demonstrate that they are able to work well in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook necessary. Two to three years previous Housekeeping department supervisory experience in an upscale hotel or resort is also required. Salary depending on experience and qualifications. COOKS (Interns) A Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa internship is a supervised work experience in which you will be exposed to the vision and mission of an established hospitality provider and be able to observe first hand how these factors translate to our unique product; including how service and operating standards promote customer loyalty and enhance our already excellent reputation as a leading hospitality provider. SERVERS Servers needed to maintain the high service standards set by the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa outlets. Will be responsible for cashiering and check control procedures; maintaining knowledge of food items and specials and serving all food and beverage items according to established procedures. Will assist with busing tables when necessary. Must strive for finer points of service. Required to have the desire and ability to provide a warm hospitality experience and have excellent communication and guest relations skills. Ability to work a varied and flexible work schedule also required. SPA MASSAGE THERAPISTS Spa Massage Therapists will utilize therapy techniques for guests' overall relaxation. Previous experience as well as State issued license required. Certification in massage therapy is also necessary. Must have the desire and ability to provide a warm hospitality experience and have excellent communication and guest relations skills.
