Napa Valley Lodge Completes $5 Million Dollar Renovation
Yountville's First Hotel is Now the Most Luxurious
Yountville, Calif. - The Napa Valley Lodge has taken the guesswork out of planning a wine country getaway. With thousands of "things" to choose in the area to fill your itinerary, this complimentary, easy-to-use guide highlights 101 "must do" activities in the Napa Valley that include quirky historical sites, cherished local hot spots and well-known businesses that have made the region famous.
The most striking change is the complete re-design of the overall exterior incorporating classic, Tuscan-style architecture that features arched loggias, decorative iron railings, limestone details, as well as a new clay-tiled roof and limestone and terra cotta walkways. The original Italian limestone fountain that was located in front of the Lodge has been relocated to the garden pool courtyard and has been replaced by a new fountain featuring a bronze sculpture of Hebe, the Goddess of Youth and Spring and the cupbearer to the Olympian Gods. The statue, which stands five feet tall, on a green marble base, is an Italian-made replica of the original Hebe created by Danish Sculptor Bertel Thorvalosen in the 18th century.
Along with the exterior renovation, the 55-room hotel added five new world-class, luxury suites. Measuring nearly 600 square feet in size, each suite overlooks the garden, pool and vineyards and features a travertine entry, limestone fireplace, spacious bathroom with separate shower and a two-person soaking tub. In addition, central heating and air conditioning, with digital thermostats in each guestroom, makes the Lodge the only hotel in Yountville to offer this wonderful and much-needed amenity.

Meeting planners have also gained two new options for their Napa Valley events with the addition of an executive boardroom and new meeting room. Complementing the Lodge's existing meeting facilities, the boardroom comfortably seats 12. Additionally, the new meeting room can accommodate groups ranging in size from 10 to 30.
The Napa Valley Lodge was built in Yountville more than two decades ago when the town was home to just a handful of pioneering vineyards, bars, a post office, and a veteran's facility.
