Monterey Plaza Hotel's Duck Club Grill Presents a Talbott Vineyards Wine Dinner
Executive Chef James Waller Creates Four-Course Menu Designed to Compliment

What:
Monterey's acclaimed Duck Club Grill, located within the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, has partnered with Monterey County's Talbott Vineyards to offer guests an exclusive wine-inspired dining experience on Wednesday, June 18.
The Talbott Vineyards Wine Dinner will commence with a reception on the hotel's lower terrace, offering sweeping views of the bay, where guests will enjoy Talbott's 2006 Kalihart Chardonnay and a selection of hors d'oeuvres. Following the reception will be a four-course dinner held in the Duck Club Grill. Guests will dine from a menu created by Executive Chef James Waller to complement the Talbott Vineyards' wines, including the winery's 2006 Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay, 2006 Diamond T Chardonnay and 2005 Case Pinot Noir. A representative from Talbott Vineyards will be present throughout the evening to discuss the pairings.
In addition, the hotel is offering a special room rate for guests wanting to prolong their Monterey Plaza Hotel experience: $199 for an Inland View and $299 Ocean View room.

"Luna Sul Mare," A Magical Full Moon Dining Experience
What: Making the most of its unparalleled waterfront location, Schooners Bistro on the Bay, located within the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, is offering guests a magical moonlight dining experience with Schooners' "Luna Sul Mare" nights. "Luna Sul Mare," or "moon on the sea" in Italian, will coincide with each full moon between April and December and will be celebrated for three nights: the full moon eve, the full moon night, and the night following the full moon.
Perched over the Monterey Bay , Schooners' expansive patio offers a picture-perfect setting to capture a full moon. In the spirit of Italian romanticism, guests will enjoy an enchanting evening of great food and wine while watching the full moon rise over the hills and settle itself above the bay. Award-winning Valley of the Moon wines from Sonoma will be poured, and a special menu of full moon-inspired cocktails will be offered in addition to Schooners' regular menu. In addition, during "Luna Sul Mare" evenings Schooners will provide blankets for guests as well as plenty of heat lamps to keep the patio warm and cozy.

Spa Director Leland Raymond comes to Vista Blue Spa from Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, where, as spa guest services manager, he was an integral member of the spa's pre- and post-opening management team, responsible for ensuring that the 41,000-square-foot destination spa delivered an unmatched spa experience.
